About Hassan Al Suwaidi

I joined Abu Dhabi Petroleum Company (ADPC) , later to be known as Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO) in 1971 as a trainee in Abu Dhabi. 6 Years later, I was sent to the UK to continue higher education. After completing y studies in the UK, I returned back to ADCO in Asab Field. It was my initial assignment and I underwent training as a Field Supervisor for 2 years. I was then promoted to Field Supervisor for 2 years. Afterward, I was assigned to Bu Hasa as Senior Supervisor in recognition to my work. During my assignment, I looked after the Gas Plant (Pilot Gas plant for gas lifting/ injection) operations. 5 years later I moved to the Habshan field as a Senior Supervisor for Water Injection.  Later on, I was moved back to Bu Hasa field to be promoted to the position of Manager (Operations then Maintenance then Technical departments). As part of my career development, I was transferred to Shah Field where I stayed 6 years to look after the artificial lift project. Upon completion of the project, I returned to the Asab field as a Gas & Water Injection Manager till my retirement in 2016 after 40 years of service.

While working on the project in SHAH Field, I did my master’s degree in 1984 in Management Communication and Marketing, I completed my 40 years in the oil and gas industry in 2016, then I started working as a learning and training manager, for two years teaching young engineers to be ready and fit to join the workforce  on the gas and oil fields. Later, I joined sheikh Hamed bin Khadem as an advisor for oil and gas and now I’m teaching these five subjects for community and human development, My subjects focus on attitude, knowledge skill, communication and how to become proactive and self-development and The Ten Commandments of Oil and Gas
